![]() Sales Presentation Self-Assessment Tools from Steven J. SchwartzCREATING YOUR PRESENTATIONThis tool you are about to use is designed to help create the content of your next winning presentation. The kind of presentations I'm referring to are not just the formal kind, but also the informal presentations; these are the frequent three to five minute informal conversations that come up all the time either in person or over the phone: common questions (especially lengthy or detailed answers that take over a minute), an overview about your company, product information, service descriptions, warranties, pricing, savings opportunities etc. The reality is that you are always presenting to an audience, and as such you can't afford to adlib. (If you do you will never be in control of your audience or the outcome for that matter.) Be prepared so that you are in a position to create the exact response you need from the people you are presenting to. Remember, your audience does not have to listen to what you're saying, so it's up to you to make sure that they WANT TO listen to your every word. After you create your presentation, remember to rehearse, and then after your present, use the post-seminar self-assessment tools in this toolbox to build on what's working and fix what's not. There is no time like the present, so let's begin. (If you're a procrastinator, go get a hot drink and then come right back.)
